I was reminiscing about my first market I ever did with my vintage collection the other day. It was in Boston at the Sowa Open Market event called Baked Fresh. I was so nervous and I stressed over the event for months. Now we are on our 4th year of selling at Sowa, planning events and vending markets is like walking and talking for me, I don’t even think about it. What a difference four years makes (wink wink).
We are stocking up and spiffing up to get ready for the 2011 season. We have some styling new wheels and we will soon have a shiny new polish that will blind your fashionable little faces! Look out Boston…we are on the move!
Last month I had the pleasure of styling a vintage style engagement photo shoot for one of my favorite wedding photographers, Tyra Bleek. The shoot was for a giveaway that was featured on the website Beantown Bride a few months before. I didn’t really have much experience with prop styling before this. But I love vintage and i feel like the Haberdash photographs really well so I gave it my best.
The couple that won the contest was completely adorable, I was stoked to get to hang with them all day. The complete set of photos are here.

At Sundays Sowa there were photographers all over the place and with so much cute stuff around they were in the right place. Boston Wedding Photographer Kelly Dillon got some shots of the mobile store that I just love. I bookmarked her site immediate so I could share it with all my newly engaged friends. On Saturday the Haberdash and I attended our first music fest of the year. It was held at The Pines Theater at Look Park. We had the most beautiful weather, the bands were super awesome and I had a blast. I hope they invite me back next year!
I wrote a little recap about the Wine Riot event over at Punky Style. But I thought I should show you our two winners of the best dressed contest.
Virginia won the tickets to Wine Riot with her “What would you wear to W.R.” Contest.
and Liza won the $100 gift card to Haberdash.
In typical Punky fashion, I panicked the day before our big photo shoot and decided to paint over the old door logo on the Haberdash. Lucky for me one of Worcesters favorite tattoo artists was a few doors away and nice enough to help me out with a new logo. Thanks Gemma, you’re the best!
Listen up Boston’s best dressed ladies, you have till April 14th to show me what you would wear to Wine Riot. We will be sorting through all the outfits on Punkystyle and the gal with the best outfit will receive a pair of tickets to Wine Riot’s “Night of the Bubbles” event on April 16th at Cyclorama.
If you don’t win tickets to Wine Riot you still can still put on your best frock head over to the event. I will be perusing the crowd all night for the best dressed attendee. One fashionable lady will go home with a $100 gift card to Haberdash Vintage.
