Pretty Little Hab

At Sundays Sowa there were photographers all over the place and with so much cute stuff around they were in the right place. Boston Wedding Photographer Kelly Dillon got some shots of the mobile store that I just love. I bookmarked her site immediate so I could share it with all my newly engaged friends. You can see the rest of her photos from the market here.

Limbo Fest Recap

On Saturday the Haberdash and I attended our first music fest of the year. It was held at The Pines Theater at Look Park.  We had the most beautiful weather, the bands were super awesome and I had a blast. I hope they invite me back next year!

On The Big Screen

Haberdash had her first filming for a big screen debut yesterday. OK,  it was really just for a student documentary about Vintage Shopping…but still pretty cool!

We also got a sweet mention in The Daily Candy this weekend!

“Your magazine is out”

I received the best text message last night while I was up north visiting my mom. The message said “your magazine is out”. Mom and I immediately jumped in the car and headed to the bookstore. FYI: Running around a bookstore looking for a magazine  to read about yourself is hugely narcissistic. But having your mom be so proud that she shows everyone in the store makes it OK.

Feature in Boston Magazine

I’m super excited to share these behind the scenes photos from a secret photo shoot I did with Boston Magazine back in December.  It was such a pleasure to work with Eric Kulin and Ennis Styling. It is unbelievable how much work and talent is needed to create that one perfect picture that used in a magazine. I hope you will pick up the February issue and see the full page feature on Haberdash.

We are NEET!!

The Haberdash is featured in NEET Magazine this month! Which is a huge deal to me, some of the coolest people on the inter-webs have been featured in NEET which makes us cool by association…right? I hope you will check it out,  page 90-91.

P.S. Thank you Adam for taking these photos. Your my favorite person with a camera (if you tell anyone I said that…I will deny it).

Hibernation

Much like my friends (Galyn) The Haberdash is going to hibernate for the winter. I’m really lucky to have friends in the Canal District with the perfect  storage space that will keep her safe and still allow me to pull for photo shoots and sell by appointment. So if you are in the Canal District shoot me a email and we can play dress up.

Suburbia

Our first Craft Fair went surprising well. I was unsure at first about the Haberdash  fitting in the suburbs. But I was pleasantly surprised with style these ladies had. I even sold some sequined pieces. Everyone at MCC’s Craft Fair was super duper sweet to me. They brought me muffins and hot apple cider and sent all thier friends over to meet me. It was all very cute.

and Penny came too:

Thank you Boston

This past Sundays Sowa was our busiest event to date. Thank you for stopping by to say hello. It was so nice to meet some more Twitter friends. And to hear people talking about the Haberdash only to turn around and see strangers. It such a surreal feeling. I’m sad the Sowa season is over, but I am also pretty excited for a nice warm space in the Design Hive.

How do you like my max costume? My friend Nicole made it. Life is awesome when you surround your self with talented people.

Online Shop…Coming Soon

If you follow me or the Hab on twitter you might have heard a thing or two about us launching a new website soon. Kyle has been busy building the Haberdash a winter web home ( a fancy pants online shop). So in preparation I asked (bribed by promising him a date with a pretty lady friend) Adam to come and take some photos for the future website. Here are some of my favorites:

You can catch the Haberdash here:

October 25th: SOWA Market in the South End

November 1st: Design Hive Market In Cambridge

November 21: Craft Fair, Bedford, Middlesex Community College campus

December 6th: Design Hive Market In Cambridge

Also…if you have shopped the store and would like give me some feedback, we are on Yelp.
